After playing host to the State Champion of Club Champions event throughout the week, bowlers again took to the Kiama Bowling Club greens, when they hosted the finals of the Illawarra Zone Champion of Champion Fours on Saturday.

The semi-finals saw some thrilling results across the board, with the Kiama side, skippered by Tom Hodgson, dropping two on the final end to go down 15 – 14 to Paul Kember's Albion Park side.
Woonona’s side, skippered by Jarrod Hamilton, defeated the Warilla side, skippered by Australian representative player and world champion Aaron Teys 21 – 18 in a last end thriller.
The final was another tight affair with Albion Park overturning a four shot deficit with five ends to play to take out the title 22 – 20.
In club news, the mixed fours wrapped up this week with Illawarra representative player Steve Wills’ side taking out the title with a 25 – 14 win over Iain Baird’s team.
Baird won through to the final, accounting for Tony Piana's side in the semi-final on Saturday, but were no match for Wills’ side in the final.
The Club Championships will conclude at Kiama Bowling Club for 2017 on Saturday, December 2.The final of the mixed triples is set to be decided between club president Martin Wilson and Murray Sheather.
