The annual award was established as a tribute to Kiama Council’s Customer Service Trainee, Megan Dalley, who was tragically killed in a car accident on the Princes Highway near her hometown of Gerringong in 2007.
Megan was considered an excellent trainee, who showed tremendous initiative and ability in her role.
This year, following a review of the nominations, it was decided the award should be given to two recipients.
Bailey Boniface, 16, works in the carpentry field for council’s holiday parks and is extremely well respected by colleagues and holiday park managers.
He is showing promise as a leader and ambassador and demonstrates pride in his work.
Bailey has a 100 per cent attendance at work and TAFE, even arriving at work 15 minutes early each and every day.
Paidin Sinclair is employed in the engineering department and is considered the perfect candidate for a mechanic role.
His passion and commitment towards his work is outstanding and he is willing to give anything a go, his manager is yet to find anything which has daunted him or put him outside his comfort zone.
Paidin is an integral part of his team and regularly produces high quality work.
Well done to both deserving winners!
