The 23-year-old former Kiama resident said it felt great to complete her degree and is very excited to start the next step in her life.
“A lot of hard work went into it but it’s very rewarding,” she said.
Miss Haigh said the best part of her degree were her teaching practice experiences, a drama placement and an English placement, at two local Canberra high schools.
“I learned a lot in both, I had great fun and my mentor teachers were amazing,” she said.
Miss Haigh moved to Canberra to study at the University of Canberra and lived on campus during her study.
“It was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone; I met amazing people and the events were always great,” Miss Haigh said.
“It’s a really great uni.”
Her parents, sister and boyfriend joined Miss Haigh at her graduation ceremony held on September 27.
