Permanent musical director Wendy Leatheam and her husband Steve, who is the accompanist for their choir, have been enjoying the northern hemisphere summer.
From all reports they had a wonderful time spending most of their time in Europe. They have a special interest in Scandinavia especially Sweden and Norway, and enjoyed their visit there very much.
The Probus Men’s Choir have been truly blessed to have Michael and Jenny Maude filling in while Wendy and Steve were on their overseas sojourn.
Jenny and Michael have done a fantastic job, giving the choir a unique musical experience by adding some unusual songs to its already exciting repertoire, with innovative new arrangements.
The club also wanted to make mention of the recent passing of Tony Matterson. Many tributes flowed-in from people in the community. Tony was an esteemed member of the Kiama Men’s Probus Club.
In other news, the Probus Men’s Choir recently paid a visit to Kiama Public School, where they kept the students entertained with an exciting program.
The school choir even joined the Probus choir in a few numbers on the song list.
