Name: Stephanie Panecasio.
Occupation: Social media moderator at Channel 7.
Suburb: Kiama.
Hometown: Kiama.
Hobbies: I'm an avid reader and writer, so I'm often found with my nose in a book or pen in hand.
I also love travelling (12 countries down, plenty to go) and have a passion for learning languages. If I had the time to watch Netflix's entire documentary catalogue, I would.
Fun fact about me: I'm actually pretty good at hula hooping and used to be able to do fancy tricks. I’m a bit rusty now though.
Might have to break out the old hoop and start practicing again.
My favourite thing about the area is: That it doesn't matter whether you're local or a tourist, if you strike up a conversation with someone from Kiama it's like you've known them for years.
Everyone is always incredibly welcoming and there’s an innate familiarity you just can't replicate anywhere else.
My second favourite thing about the area is the view from Saddleback Mountain first thing in the morning (if I can drag myself out of bed early enough).
What makes the area unique: We're incredibly fortunate to live in an area that really captures the ‘best of both worlds’ proverb - we’ve got the beach, the mountains, the industry and the culture all in one neat package.
To be honest though, what makes it really unique is the people. We're an eclectic bunch, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
