Kneeboarders aged between four and 64 had no trouble adapting to the challenging conditions on Kiama's Surf Beach.

In the Open men's, locals proved to be the early standouts in round one with Mark Mcleod, Chayne Simpson, Simon Farrer and Albert Munoz all taking wins.

Munoz - current world champion - had a victory in his first round, disposing of Jim Brown, Lucas Castellanos and Paul Wright.

Simon Farrer of Shellharbour also showed why he's a former world champion, performing powerful manoeuvres with seamless transitions. He successfully progressed straight into round two, where he claimed another win.

Conditions took a turn for the second and final day of round three of the titles. The southerly winds that plagued the idyllic Kiama area on Saturday were a thing of the past when the event resumed at Werri Beach.

Again, the locals led the charge from the moment the first hooter sounded, with Simon Farrer, Albert Munoz and Chayne Simpson tearing apart the fun three to four-foot beach breaks.

"We can't put into words how happy we are with the success of this event and to see such a large number of women, children and a bunch of new faces getting involved in the sport," John Clingan, president of Kneeboard Surf Australia, said.

In the Amateur B final, Darren Cooper took the lead from Craig Tinsley, Carl Heidke and Tom Newton, who finished second, third and fourth respectively.

Mark Mcleod took an early lead in the Amateur A final, doing a series of powerful tail-throws and carves to gain first position. Dane Rennie fought a hard battle but had to settle for the runner-up spot.

Warriewood's Tom Novakov took the win with Liam Taurins in second, Gustavo Pontenza in third and Jed Collis in fourth.

Event standout Kyle Bryant of Avoca surfed an incredible half-hour, which saw the lead bounce back and forth between him and Simon Farrer. In the end it was Bryant who got the nod, with Farrer in second, Simpson in third and Matt Novakov in fourth.
