Australia’s holiday rental website, Stayz, has announced the finalists of its 2017 Holiday Rental Awards (HRA) and is now calling on Australians to vote for their favourite property to be in the running for this year’s People’s Choice Award.

The search for this year’s finalists has uncovered holiday homes in a number of locations, including Kiama, Foxground, Kangaroo Valley and Berry.
In its sixth consecutive year, the HRA’s reward excellence across an impressive portfolio of over 40,000 holiday homes, in 2,000 unique Australian locations.
Stayz, which connects homeowners and property managers with travellers who are looking for the space, value and amenities of a whole rental home as an alternative to a hotel, has appointed industry experts to judge each of the nine categories.
Those who vote on their favourite holiday rental at will be in the running to win a holiday at the 2016 Stayz Holiday Rental Awards People’s Choice winner Clifftop at Hepburn, an architecturally designed, romantic getaway overlooking the spa town of Daylesford.
“Each year the calibre of properties recognised by the Stayz Holiday Rental Awards continues to grow and this year is no exception,” Stayz spokesperson Simone McDermid said.
“From inner city penthouse apartments with rooftop jacuzzis to converted trams in the Perth Hills, the holiday rental awards aim to showcase not only the best rental properties across Australia, but also those properties that offer unique experiences and those extra touches that make a traveller’s stay more personal.
“Overwhelmingly, indoor fireplaces dominated the Romance category, while lavish pools were a standout in the Indulgence category. Our Family category finalists also went the extra mile with cubby houses, an arcade machine and gaming consoles for the kids, and big kids.”
All finalists in each category are entered into the running for the People’s Choice Award, to vote for the best holiday rental in Australia.
People can vote online now at https://awards.stayz.com.au/finalists/. Winners of each category will be announced mid-November.
BERRY BEACH FARM – Berry
Located on a private 25-acre farm, Berry Beach Farm has been nominated in the ‘family friendly’ category.
The property is complete with a large TV/Games room for the kids and outdoor activities to keep everyone entertained, double sided open fireplace in one of the sitting rooms, pool and alfresco dining area.
THE COTTAGE KIAMA AT SEAVIEW FARM – Kiama
Hidden by hedges down a quiet, tree-lined lane you will find the cottage situated on 50-acres of private farmland that runs down to the Gerringong walking track.
The property has been nominated in the ‘romance’ category.
Visitors can take a private walk amongst the Moreton Bay fig trees, picnic on Werri beach, or relax and read in the backyard. Romance is heightened with a night in front of the wood fireplace, or even outside around the fire pit.
HIDDEN VALLEY – Kangaroo Valley
Luxury camping with stylish tents offer a relaxing experience close to nature and thus Hidden Valley has been nominated in the ‘at one with nature’ category.
Guests have a choice of a inflatable queen mattress or real queen mattress on pallet bed, as well as additional single foam mattresses for the kids, premium linen, persian rugs, all camping gear and outdoor furniture.
WILBURRA – Kangaroo Valley
Wilburra features spacious living and dining areas with a wraparound verandah and has been nominated in the ‘indulgence’ category.
The five-bedroom house comes with a large fully equipped kitchen over looks the gardens, alfresco dining area and swimming pool.
SADDLEBACK COTTAGE / PUDDING HILL FARM – Foxground
Pudding Hill Farm is nestled in the Foxground Valley, less than two hours from Sydney and under three hours from Canberra.
It has been nominated in the ‘value’ category.
There are two cottages, Saddleback Cottage and Broughton Cottage, allowing the choice of a relaxing couples getaway.
The farm starts at the foot of the valley and stretches up into the rainforest, with views of the escarpment and ocean.
