Blue Haven Fete organisers have had another successful year, in which they raised $16,253.

“This could not have been achieved without the many donations from residents of the municipality after our appeal for the fete, and this resulted in us having an amazing quantity and range of goods for sale on the day,” Friends of Blue Haven Aged Care Facility secretary Col Rathbone said.

“I can safely say this has built into the best fete in the Illawarra. We had so many goods that we had to expand out of the aged care facility into four marquees on the lawn at the entrance.

“The businesses of Kiama deserve a special thank you, as once again, there was at least a 95 per cent agreement to donate something for the fete.”
