Gerringong wins inaugural Jean Attenborough Plate

The Gerringong ladies finished on top of Shoalhaven Heads, when they played the inaugural Jean Attenborough Plate at Gerringong Golf Club on Thursday.

Jean was a member of both clubs for almost 40 years and played two 18 hole games every week until only 3 months ago.

She passed away recently aged 96.

Following their morning on the greens, the two groups held a prize giving ceremony and lunch. Jean’s niece, Dr Robyn Dalley was in attendance at the luncheon to present the memorial plate to the winner.

The Single Stableford winners are as follows:

Division One: Trish Orford ( 22)  with 33 points.

Division Two: Di Dunn ( 35) with 35 points.

Division Three: Anne Godfrey (40) with 40 points.
