The Shoalhaven Lydian Singers will be bringing Handel’s Messiah to the Shoalhaven for both Christmas 2017 and Easter 2018.

To ensure everyone can be accommodated, the venues in Ulladulla and Kiama will relieve the slightly smaller venues in Berry and Nowra, so don’t hesitate to book those southern and northern venues.

The dates are Saturday, December 2 in St Patrick’s Church Berry, Sunday, December 3 at the Nowra School of Arts, Saturday, March 3 2018 at St Martin’s Anglican Church, Ulladulla and Sunday, March 4 2018 at Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiama.

All concerts start at 2.30pm, with a break for afternoon tea.

Under the directorship of Lesley Challender, these special concerts will help celebrate the Lydians’ 40th birthday.

Only one of the original members, Noni Rogan, is still singing with the choir, but with newcomers adding strength to the choir each year, some 60 singers, plus soloists, instrumentalists accompanying the all-important organist will be sure to provide a memorable occasion.

Soloists are – Soprano: Jane McIntosh,  Alto: Nicole Smede,  Tenor: Robert Boyd,  Bass: Tristan Entwistle, with Organist: Heather Moen-Boyd.
