KIAMA LIONS
Another exciting day at the markets on last weekend. This had been preceded by a very successful dinner meeting at the Jamberoo Pub for the visiting District Governor's annual visitation on the previous Thursday. He and his wife were very impressed with our club and what we are achieving. He was especially impressed with the Carer's cottage project.
Work on that project continues steadily although there is not much to see from the outside. Because there will be structural alterations on the inside it has been necessary to fit large laminate beams to strengthen the supports for the new layout.
Our Commemorative Pavers collection from the 1991 Seaside Festival is providing quite a lot of interest, as we seek to locate some of the people who would have been in Primary School at the time and put their names on these tiles at the Community Centre in Hindmarsh Park.
So, for example, if your name is Ben Raftery, Luke Carson, Eliza Faier, Alison Donagh or Sean Fitzpatrick and you are now in your 30's please give Tony a call on 0417 139 949. We will give out some more names next week.
