He was able to meet members of Kiama Council, visit our Carers Cottage project, and enjoy a very convivial dinner meeting at the Jamberoo Pub at which he inducted a new member into our Club.
We had a good turnout to work the Chocolate Wheel at the Blue Haven Fete, there were some great prizes and all the money raised went into their funds, but most of we had a bit of fun doing it.
Because we will be making some alterations to the inside of the Carer's Cottage, it is necessary to fit some extra beams into the roof space and enlarge all the door frames so that wheelchair access will be possible.
Some of this work began last week.
Our next meeting will be on the roof terrace of the Surf Club on October 26 and will take the form of a Happy Hour.
These are fun occasions where can invite guests and prospective members to mingle socially and meet our partners whilst Lions business is conducted quietly over a glass or two.
KIAMA ROTARY
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make our barbeque at the Blue Haven Fete such a great success.
It is always an enjoyable morning and we were able to make a donation of $600 to Blue Haven.
On Sunday, October 8, we held another very successful Festival of Choirs at the Kiama Pavilion.
Again, thanks to everyone who helped make the day such a wonderful success including, the choirs, Rotarians, Friends of Rotary and of course the many guests who came out to hear beautiful music while supporting a worthy cause.
Last Sunday we were back at the Seaside Markets.
