LOOKING FOR LOVE: Max is looking for a home with an active family with no small children.

This week’s Nowra Animal Shelter pet is Max, is a four-year-old kelpie cross.

Max has lots of energy so an active family who will take him for a big daily walk/run plus regular trips to the beach or park and of course playtime in the backyard is the perfect match for him.

He can be shy when first meeting new people but he does warm up.

If you already have a dog at home please bring them in to meet Max first as he can be picky on which dogs he’s happy to spend time with.

Max isn’t suited to a home with young children as he can be very jumpy and he is protective of his food, which young children may not understand. Max is very strong on the lead so he would love an owner who will teach him to walk with a harness or halti.

He costs $320 plus lifetime registration fee of $27.50 or $23 for pensioners and is available from the Nowra Animal Shelter.
