Puttin’ On The Ritz
If you’re in the mood for a trip to old glamour Hollywood Thursday afternoon there are still tickets for the 2pm show.
Puttin’ On The Ritz – starring Rob Mills – brings to life the music of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and George Gershwin and will play at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre.

Folk By The Sea
The streets around Kiama will be buzzing all weekend for their annual three-day folk festival.
Around 50 local, national and international musicians – including Fred Smith, Jan Preston and the Hillbilly Goats – will perform across a number of venues from Friday to Sunday.
Friday and Saturday venues include the Showground Pavilion, Rugby Clubhouse and Uniting Church Hall.
The Sunday program is FREE with artists performing at stages in Hindmarsh Park and the Kiama Bowling Club.

Green Flicks
Young South Coast film-makers will get their chance in the spotlight with short films on the changing environment – the short list of the Green Flicks competition will be on show.
It’s an environmental short film competition for 12-24-year-olds living in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest
First a book, then a Hollywood thriller with Jack Nicholson – now you can see it on the Roo Theatre stage in Shellharbour.

Kiama’s Black Beach at the harbour will be a goldmine for knick-knacks and collectables from 8am to 12midday.
Entry is by gold coin donation with funds going to the Kiama Lions Club.
Bundanon Siteworks Festival
A little south of the Illawarra – 30 minutes from Berry – this annual event at the historic homestead and surrounds brings together artists, scientists and environmentalists.
This year’s programming explores the theme of ‘The Birds and The Bees’ with free workshops, art and performance.
Presented over a full day and night, Siteworks invites visitors to camp overnight on the historic property that is the former home and studio of Arthur Boyd.
All day - Artworks, local food and drink
Noon - 5pm - Create and Make workshops
2pm - 5pm - Conversations
5pm til late - Performances, bar, music and camping.

Landscape With Monsters
An acrobatic stage experience inspired by the scarred beauty of the Illawarra’s changing industrial landscape is at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre for two shows.

Paperbark Forum – Aboriginal Culture Day
Indigenous workshops in spear making, weaving and gardening have been scheduled at the the Wollongong Botanic Garden as part of the Wollongong Fringe Festival.
Experience aboriginal dancing and singing performances, a tour of the bush tucker garden, cooking demonstration and tasting as well as hands on participation in a workshop of your choice.

Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride
Around 150 vintage motorcycles will take to the Princes Highway and Pioneer Road Sunday morning, to raise money for prostate cancer.
Men and women will join in the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride for the Movember foundation, mostly dressed in “dapper” threads.

Steelers Club Car Park Party
From midday until late, the club across the road from WIN Stadium will turn its car park into a party venue with bars, food trucks and live music.
The party will continue until at least an hour after Elton jets off home in his helicopter to about 10pm or later.
New Comedy Club in Thirroul
Just when comedy was starting to sellout at Samuel’s Bar, the venue closed down.
Thirroul’s Railway Hall (next to the train station on the northern side) is the new venue, hosting established and up-an-coming stand-up comics on the last Sunday of every month.
This week boasts Martin Henchion, Kyle Legacy, Jamal Abdul, Lachlan Brooks, Wayne Peoples, Malika Elizabeth and Sally Lopez.
