Iain Baird and Lorraine Kuskey powered their way through the early rounds to reach the final four. The pair were in red hot form defeating club champion Russel Campbell and wife Bronwyn 20-8. Baird/Kuskey will face the winner of Mick Ganderton/Helen Joske and Rhonda Munro/Neil Campbell who both had impressive wins in early rounds.
In the other half of the draw Adam Rodgers/Joan Brownlie are through to the quarters and will face Terry Boniface/Cathy Dawson.
Defending champions Gloria Hodgson/Mick Miller will take on mother son combo Jan and Geoff McIntyre in a tough quarter-final.
The Illawarra Zone Champion of Champion Singles competition begins this weekend. Singles champions from 20 clubs in the Illawarra will battle it out for a place at the state titles, held at Kiama in November.
