IT’S that time of year again – time to celebrate the sweetest season of the year at the Shoalhaven Youth Orchestra and Shoalhaven Junior Strings Spring Concert.

The concert, Music to Welcome the Spring Season, will be held on Saturday, September 16 at 2pm at the Nowra School of Arts on Berry Street.
Shoalhaven Youth orchestra Musical Director Jacob Antonio will be conducting the concert, which will feature both the Shoalhaven Youth Orchestra and the Junior Strings.
It will include a number of songs ranging from classical to contemporary including Malaguena by Emesto Lecouna, Star Wars Theme by John Williams and Kashmir from Led Zeppelin.
Longstanding orchestra members, Wynter Smith and Lucinda O’Dowd, will both perform a solo piece during the program.
Tickets can be purchased at the door from 1.30pm.
Adults $20; Concession $15 SYO Friend/ child 13-17 years $10 child 12 and under are free.
Please come and support the enthusiastic players of both SYO and SJS and enjoy afternoon tea after the concert.
Following that, the final concert of the year for the orchestra will be the popular Christmas Concert, with music to celebrate the Christmas season. The Christmas concert will be held on Saturday, December 9 at 2pm at the Wesley Centre, Berry Street.
