The relay will take on a new 12-hour format on November 4 at Black Beach from 10am – 10pm.
“Our revamped relay this year will be a family festive fun day with great activities, delicious food, fabulous entertainment and it’s a way to show we care about beating cancer,” chair of the relay committee Marie Dalton said.
Each year in the Illawarra thousands of people are confronted with a cancer diagnosis.
The Kiama Relay for Life is an opportunity to show your support for the many cancer patients and their carers in the community.
Kiama Relay for Life and Cancer Council NSW are excited to announce the launch of a series of 10 podcasts.
The podcast series titled ‘This thing about cancer’ is designed to help people affected by cancer.
This is just one of many resources funded by Cancer Council NSW assisted by the many relay events across the state and covers topics such as treatment options, sex and cancer, coping with fatigue and explaining cancer to kids.

It is important the community gets involved in the event – with money raised going towards producing resources such as the podcast to support patients and their carers.
