However bad weather put a stop to the final at the half way mark, with Rossiter/Starr leading 19 – 10.
Rossiter/Starr had a smooth run to the final with wins over zone senior finalist Mick Weir and club singles semi finalist Andrew Stewart.
Underdogs Dylan/Dawson had upset victories over Andrew Anstey and five time club champion Geoff McIntyre en route to the final.
The final will continue on Friday afternoon with Dylan hoping to fight back and claim his first title.
Mixed pairs began this week with two matches completed. Husband and wife combinations ruled the weekend with Marion Pemberton/Tony Piana defeating Tracey Winterflood/Damien Loone 23 – 22 in a last end thriller.
While Bill and Shirley Read were to good for Eleanor Parkin/Murray Sheather 20 – 12.
Kiama Bowling Club will hold the rotating triples on Saturday with 30 teams competing for over $2000 in prize money.
Defending champions Steve Wills, Adam Schofield and Murray Sheather will defend their crown against a strong field, including teams from state champions Cabramatta.
