Kiama bowlers had mixed results, with club captain Mick Weir making his way through to the seniors semi final and Brad Gibson reaching the quarter final stage of the reserve singles.
Steve Wills had a huge win over former Australian representative Shane Garvey before losing to Warren Hamilton from Woonona.
However the highlight of the weekend was Mick Weir's 31-18 victory over Fairy Meadow’s Laurie Matrini. Weir will face Dapto Citizen’s Graham Tootel for a spot in the zone final on Sunday morning at Kiama Bowling Club.
Brad Gibson had four wins over the weekend and will have the home turf advantage in his quarter final at Kiama Bowling Club on Saturday.
Finals weekend kicks off on Saturday afternoon for opens, seniors and reserves quarter finals before finals day on Sunday.
The opens grade features Australian representative Aaron Teys, who will face Spanish representative Pete Bonsor.
NSW representative Jessie Noronha and Dylan Skinner are still alive in the competition.
