Get ready to limber up, and help keep our beaches clean this month.
A clean up of Surf Beach, Kiama and a free yoga session will be held on Saturday, July 29.
The event will be hosted by Surfrider Foundation South Coast in collaboration with Plastic Free Kiama.
Jasmine Rapela is one of the organisers of the community event and hopes to end Plastic Free July on a strong note.
“We’re hoping as many people as possible come down, do a half hour yoga session and help keep our beaches clean,” she said.
“Please join us and be part of the shift towards making Kiama and Wollongong plastic free.”
The yoga session will be hosted by Yoga Temple from 8.30am, with the beach clean up getting underway at 9am. The yoga session will be suitable for all ages and abilities.
Everyone is encouraged to wear covered shoes, sun protection and gloves. If you’re participating in the yoga session, please bring a yoga mat.
