A Plastic Ocean focuses on the impact of plastic in our oceans on marine life and our own health.
Sir David Attenborough has described it as ‘the most important film of our time’.
The screening will also help raise funds for the Australian Seabird Rescue group, with entry by donation.
A light supper of soup and bread will be provided, but you are asked to bring your own mug.
You can secure a ticket online at www.kiama.nsw.gov.au, or call Council on (02) 4232 0444.
Entry is by gold coin donation with all proceeds going to the South Coast Branch Australian Seabird Rescue group.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with representatives of the Australian Seabird Rescue group, Kiama Boomerang Bags and Plastic Free July.
There will also be information available about exciting waste initiatives like the forthcoming Container Deposit Scheme.
