This year’s competition starts in less than a fortnight on June 21.
With just 10 bands entered in the weekly competition, organiser Lincoln Piper anticipates a flood of entries in upcoming weeks.
“It’s gone viral online, people are sharing the promo poster everywhere,” Mr Piper said,
“Hopefully we have a massive influx of entries.”
At the height of its popularity, 78 bands took part.
The grand final takes place on September 8 at 7pm.
