The Sydney “diet doctor” was one of the stars of the festival, mesmerising his audience for hours by denouncing all the latest fad diets.
“Don’t count calories, count nutrients,” he told the crowd.
Some patrons had travelled from Sydney just to hear the man speak, who boasts curing people’s illnesses with food.
Dennaoui said he is always happy to share his knowledge and passion, and cut a trip short with Mike Tyson just to speak at the charity event, free of charge.
Some of his key points were not eliminating foods unless you had to (for example they cause anaphylaxis), eating unprocessed foods and staying away from too much red meat as he believes it causes cancer.
Other highlights of the festival included celebrity fitness trainer Tanya Poppet (who has a 349,000 strong Instagram following) taking group classes on the main stage; dozens of adults falling over learning cartwheels and handstands and fitness tests to see how strong you are.
All funds raised went to suicide prevention charity Livin.
