A Nowra who ran across a busy road to tackle a man that was walking with his ex-partner has been jailed for four months.

Malcolm Leslie Burns, 38, pleaded guilty to common assault and stalking in Nowra Local Court.
The court heard around 1pm on March 3 this year Burns saw the pair together and flew into a fit of rage, which prompted him to run across the Princes Highway at Nowra in front of traffic to tackle the man to the ground.
Burns allegedly ran at the man again and shaped up.
The victim pulled out an axe but didn’t use it.
The court heard the man had agreed to accompany the woman to the Nowra Meat Market to pay for an earlier purchase.
The whole incident was captured on CCTV.
Burns was later arrested at a Nowra address.
Earlier in the day, the woman, who had ended a relationship with Burns three months prior, was leaving her Nowra address to go shopping when she saw spotted Burns and became concerned, returning home. She later told police she felt scared.
Police said Burns followed her to her home and tried to gain access to the property
He had previously sent numerous text messages where he threatened to abduct and assault her.
He also made more than 100 calls to her and sent numerous other messages.
