Fridge Buyback professional removalists will collect, degas and recycle your second working fridge or upright freezer for free.
And as long as the removal does not involve going up or down more than six stairs, you will receive a $25 rebate.
Fridge Buyback encourages people to get rid of their old or spare fridge as an energy efficiency measure.
Reasons for getting rid of an old fridge or freezer include that they tend to be older models, and less efficient than new fridges and freezers, using more power and creating extra greenhouse pollution.
•Second fridges also tend to be kept in out of the way places such as garages, which are not insulated, making it even harder for the fridge to work efficiently in summer.
•An additional fridge is often only partially filled. A full fridge runs more effectively.
Kiama residents wanting to have their spare fridge or upright freezer removed can book a collection by phoning 1800 708 401.
