Police said the 53-year-old woman was driving north on Explorer Avenue at about 9.30pm when her white utility crashed into a car parked on the edge of the road.
Both vehicles suffered extensive damage, with police alleging the woman attempted to drive from the scene but her car would only travel about five metres due to damage to the front wheels.
Police attended the crash scene and breath tested the woman which produced a positive reading.
She was taken to Nowra police station and produced a breath reading of 0.164.
Her licence was disqualified and she will appear in Nowra Local Court charged with high range drink driving.
It is the third time a high range drink drive reading has been recorded in unusual circumstances in the past few weeks.
A 45-year-old man returned a high range reading when he was rescued from floodwaters on Bolong Road at Bomaderry on March 16.
While a 46-year-old man found slumped over the steering wheel of his car at Pyree, east of Nowra, at 9pm on March 20 returned breath reading more than four times the legal limit. 0.222.
Both had their licences disqualified, were charged with high range drink driving and will appear in Nowra Local Court.
