The club was recently adjudged as one of the top 20 tennis clubs in the state by Tennis NSW.
They also recently completed a viewing deck at the tennis club, which was partially funded by a state government grant.
Kiama Tennis Club president David Lehman said Tennis NSW evaluates all of their clubs on an annual basis.
He said the Kiama club was recently rated as a top 20 tennis club in NSW.
The criteria includes being registered to Hot Shots; registered to Cardio Tennis; having completed an Operational Health Check in 2016; and use of league manager.
“Clubs were not decided on the total number of registered players, but more the programs that they are running at the club,” Mr Lehman said.
Mr Lehman said the Kiama club currently had about 360 members.
Meanwhile, Kiama Tennis Club recently applied for a grant under the Local Sport Grant Program, which is administered by Sport and Recreation.
Mr Lehman said the viewing deck cost $25,000 in total, and the club was successful in its application, being awarded $15,000 towards the project.
Kiama MP Gareth Ward attended the deck opening on Monday to hand over the funding.
