The Corpus Christi Catholic High School student will meet with other passionate young people at training camps and during a sitting week at NSW Parliament House to discuss issues relevant to today’s youth.
Member for Kiama Gareth Ward, a former participant of the National Youth Parliament, said it would be a great experience for Henry in bringing youth issues to the state Government.
“I am skilled in leading others to achieve their greatest potential and have exceptional knowledge in world events both past and present,” Henry said.
The Youth Parliament aims to imitate state parliament as closely as possible.
The program runs from both the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council with participants working in a team of like-minded young people from across the state to produce well-researched Bills and Reports that reflect the youth voice on key areas they are passionate about.
