With rain again having a major effect on this week’s pennant round, Kiama were fortunate to complete four of their five matches. What was also fortunate was that all four teams, the Ones, the Threes, the Sixes and the Sevens all won. The Fives had their match rained off.
In the first round of the men’s major pairs championship C. Baker and A. Rogers beat K. Dukes and N. Rowland 34-12. B. Vickers and D. Loone defeated K. Pepper and M. Miller 20-17. D. Keenan and G. McIntyre defeated J. Moncrieff and T. Hodgson 20-18.
N. Norris and M. Sheather beat R. Campbell and R. Campbell 18-16. W. Read and C. Rolls beat R. Hill and D. Kohlenberg 28-21. R. Logan and A. Piana defeated A. Van Zanen and D. Gorham 28-10. C. Spaul and G. Bartrim defeated N. Campbell and R. Walker 24-18.
D. Downtown and W. Partridge beat W. Gorissen and C. Coleman 24-14. W. Richardson and J. Heidtman beat B. Archer and M. Ganderton 21-10 and J. Twist and A. Stewart defeated A. Schofield and S. Wills 20-12.
In the only second round match played B. Hudson and K. Bratby defeated R. Dylon and R. Milton 26-11.
