nbn’s plans for the area are almost complete, with seven new fixed wireless sites providing services to more than 2000 premises between Moruya and Tilba by year’s end, a nbn spokesperson said.
Both Brushgrove Lane and Wonga Road towers connect to Grants Lookout and then back to Moruya exchange. Wallaga Lake tower links to Bermagui exchange, the spokesperson said.
Brushgrove Lane and Mystery Bay residents had been lobbying for the proposed NBN fixed wireless tower to be moved away from its current proposed location at Brushgrove Lane to higher ground.
Diana Stubbs and Wayne Ashton wanted the proposed tower moved away from their property while fellow Brushgrove Lane resident John Ramsay also wanted it moved to a higher location where it could possibly serve Mystery Bay and Tilba.
The nbn had been calling the location of the new tower “Corunna Village” until it was clarified to be Brushgrove Lane.
