The Kiama Branch of the Australian Red Cross will once again be participating in the Red Cross Calling campaign in March.
Donations will help people experiencing hardship in Australia and further afield.
“Kiama is a very generous community, and we appreciate the support that we are given for Red Cross Calling and throughout the year,” Heidi Smith, vice-president of the Kiama Branch of the Australian Red Cross said.
“We are very excited that we have been presented with the Red Cross Chairman's Shield for the past three years, and four out of the past five years.
“This award was presented to us as we raised the most amount of funds during Red Cross Calling of any country branch in NSW.
“It is an award that we proudly share with the Kiama community.
“The award is displayed at the Kiama Library. We could not have won this without the generous support from our community.
“We are lovingly supported by friends of the Red Cross including The Lions Club and The Girl Guides.”
