On the morning of Christmas Eve, the management team at Kiama Makers and Growers Market are bringing a giant waterslide and other children’s activities to Black Beach, Kiama.
Market managers Claire Roberts and Kerrie Humphrey said that parents are always looking for fun things for the kids to do during the holidays.
“Along with the slide, we have a jumping castle, a face-painter and creative activities,” Ms Humphrey said.
“We know that the waterslide will be a great attraction and I believe it is the first of its kind to come to Kiama.”
In addition to the children’s activities, the market boasts about 60 stalls each month, selling products that fall under the catch-cry of ‘make it, bake it, grow it, sew it’.
The managers aim to welcome those who sell hand-crafted and designed items, eco-friendly and fair-trade products as well as plants, international foods, salamis, olives, children’s and adult clothing, gourmet cakes, breads and any interesting, unique and alternate products.
“We have something for everyone,” Ms Roberts said.
“In the past few years since we took over the management of the market, we have added many vibrant, attractive stalls, live music and offer free of charge space for fundraisers and community groups.”
The waterslide will be operating from 11am to 1pm and the cost is $5 for one slide.
You can also buy a wristband and play for as long as you like at $20 for unlimited slides.
The waterslide is for children aged five up to adults.
Bring your togs/bathers/swimmers and towel and join in the fun.
The market runs from 9am to 2pm.
