Perspectives will be open at the Old Fire Station on Terralong Street from October 21-26, from 9am-5pm daily.
Winterton said he was ‘very excited” about the upcoming event.
“This is my first photography exhibition in the 16 years that photography has been my career,” he said.
“Photography for me hasn't always been about landscapes.
“In actual fact I started out in the commercial field. But over the years my passion for landscape photography has grown considerably and Kiama is the perfect place to be inspired.”
Winterton moved to Kiama four years ago from his home town of Gunnedah, “starting my business from scratch again, and looking for new inspiration”.
Winterton was immediately struck by the diverse coastal and valley landscapes within the region.
“This exhibition represents my journey on the South Coast so far.
“Kiama pretty much has it all - the rolling green hills of Saddleback, our vast blue oceans, rainforests and coastline.
“There are so many opportunities here.
“It's exciting to see my images framed and printed.
“Too often these days we use images for social media and often they get lost amongst thousands of digital files.
“However I believe the printed image gives us a new perspective - completely different to looking at a computer screen, and it has a greater ability to evoke a feeling, thought or emotion.”
All images are available for sale and prints can be custom framed.
Winterton was previously involved with the creation of the 2016 Kiama Calendar.
Photography was provided by Winterton. Sites featured within the calendar’s pages included Kiama Lighthouse, Kiama Harbour, Blowhole Point and Minnamurra Falls.
The 2017 calendar, featuring Winterton’s images will be available at the exhibition.
