The school was voted the winner of CUA Community Care by the Illawarra community and won $5000 from CUA's Shellharbour branch.
Jamberoo Public School will put the grant towards new stage curtains - a project they've been fundraising for over the past six years.
Jamberoo Public School teacher Sharon Behl-Shanks said the process was enjoyable.
“The community had to vote to win the grant,” she said.
“We even had a parent who was working as an event manager in Rio getting people to vote for us, so we won it from the sheer amount of support and generosity. We are very excited.”
