The club welcomed 18 teams from all over the Illawarra for a full day of bowls, fun and friendship.
The winners were Jackie Kirk (skip), Gaye Reynolds, Eleanor Parkin and Shirley Read from Kiama with an overall win of two games +23.
Runners-up were J Villy (skip), R Hall, B McLeod and S Bedford from Dapto Citizens with two games +20.
In summing up at the end of a brilliant day, President Judy thanked the State Government for sponsoring the event; Roger Blakey for umpiring; George Clowes for the cards and scoring and all the lady members who had worked so hard to make the day such a stunning success.
In the Ladies Major/Minor Pairs S. Brown and J. Brownlie defeated L. Ferrands and J. Kirk 23-11.
Kiama Men’s Bowling Club held their annual rotating triples tournament which was also well supported by bowlers from across the Illawarra.
The winners on the day were M Sheather, S. Wills and A. Schofield with three wins and a +11.
Second place went to N. Rowland, G. Rowles and N. Norris with three wins and a +8.
Third place went to T. Webb, D Manasi and D. Tucklan with two wins and a +24.
Wednesday’s social bowls was won by A. Smithard, K. Condon and P. Bragga with the runners-up W. Gorrissen, B. Breasley and D. Haymer.
Thursday’s pairs was won by W. Gorrissen and A. Van Zanen with the runners-up P. Hart and R. Logan.
