The four-time premiers Bulldogs withstood every Lions fightback to win 6.10 (46) to 5.6 (36) in a typically tight major semi-final.
The Lions back up against Kiama Power, who were too strong for Figtree Kangaroos, winning the minor semi-final 9.11 (65) to 4.4 (28) at Tom Smith Oval.
Kiama had 13 scoring shots to four and a 29-point lead at half-time in wet and windy conditions which ultimately made it tough on both teams.
Ben Williams booted three goals for the Power, with skipper Jack Mahony, Ben Rawson and Scott Phillips leading the way.
The Power had their finals preparation disrupted with Nowra Albatross forfeiting in the final round, while Figtree beat Bomaderry to clinch fourth and their first Div 1 finals spot.
Kiama now take on the Lions on Saturday in the preliminary final at North Dalton Park.
