The Community and Labor team headed by Matt Brown wants to ensure that Kiama remains a standalone council.
Matt who was raised in Kiama and a former captain of Kiama High School has been a corporate lawyer, business operator and employer and our local Member of Parliament.
“I will ensure Kiama Council can prove itself “fit for the future” to avoid any amalgamation,” he said. “To do this council ‘must’ live within its means and manage more effectively.”
Matt has extensive experience in public administration and understands the links between private enterprise and government.
He has a proven record of success in negotiating, lobbying and securing grants and infrastructure for our local community.

Matt is committed to improving the lifestyle of all residents. He will promote Kiama as a place to live and retire and will work to improve our leisure centre, recreation facilities and retirement villages.
