During the coming school holiday period, the popular cricketing franchise will run their Beach Blast from Coffs Harbour to Ulladulla with 11 stops along the way, delivering a free Milo T20 Blast Clinic on beaches.
This will include visits to Surf Beach, Kiama on Wednesday, October 5 and North Beach, Wollongong on Thursday, October 6.
The development of the program follows the success of the Milo T20 Blast program, which has doubled its participants in the past year in NSW alone.
Kids attending the clinic will get to experience all the fun of the Big Bash, with music, fun and entertainment all part of the program, while enjoying learning the skills of cricket in the Milo T20 Blast program.
While the program is free for kids aged between seven and 12, registrations are required to secure spaces with a high demand in each city expected and only 100 spots per stop available.
The first 50 kids to register will also receive a pair of Sixers sunglasses.
Sixers general manager Dominic Remond said the Beach Blast was a great new community initiative for this season.
“We had an appetite from regional NSW communities to bring a bit of the Sixers to their local communities and the Beach Blast provides us with that opportunity,” Remond said.
“This brings two great loves of an Aussie summer to the one program, the Big Bash and beach cricket, and we are really excited to head to these areas up and down the NSW coast during the next school holiday period.”
Registrations are open now via the sydneysixers.com.au/beachblast website.
