Kiama Rotary
THE Kiama Rotary Club is involved in local, national and international projects and offers the chance to make a difference for those less fortunate.
We are a fun club, open to both men and women of any age. If you are new to the area or want to do something for others and enjoy yourself at the same time, then come along to one of our meetings at the Harbourside Brighton Restaurant each Monday at 6.30pm for 7pm. Phone 4236 1561.
Kiama CWA
The club met on October 16 to elect their new committee, under the guidance of Jamberoo CWA president Betty Mueller.
Our outgoing president, Jan Hobby, was thanked for her great leadership as Kiama CWA president for five years.
Thanks also to all our committee members for their great endeavours during the last 12 months.
The country theme was based on Iran. Mahim, who hails from there, brought a most beautiful display of artefacts from her homeland. Our afternoon tea also had some special Iranian delicacies.
The new committee will meet on November 8 at 11am at Jacqui Baker's home. Congratulations to new members.

This week Honorary Membership of Gerringong Sunrise Rotary Club was conferred on foundation member Don Freeman.
Don moved to a retirement complex in Sydney a few years ago, but still travels to our meetings as often as possible.
Don is in his 50th year in Rotary, an amazing achievement. He is famous for his collection of unusual ties, having 128 in his wardrobe.
To celebrate, all members wore an interesting tie. Prizes went to Arthur Campbell and Pauline Thwaites, who wore innovative neck pieces.
Jamberoo CWA
We had our AGM on Thursday, when the office bearers for 2012-13 were elected. A large number of members attended and the meeting was followed by lunch with "An Apple Theme" to celebrate the CWA Product Day. The "Apple Team" served us with an absolutely scrumptious lunch thanks to Daphne, Beth and their wonderful team of cooks. Well done ladies.
