The concert on Saturday, September 10 is aimed at exploring the music that reflects the varying tastes of the listener, whether it be the lighthearted side of Hisaishi’s Summer or the introspective nature of Arvo Pärt’s Summa.
‘’Each of these pieces has a place in our hearts and minds that ‘resonates’ with our own personal being,’’ SCS musical director Kyle Little said.
The highlight of the night’s performance is Vivaldi’s Concerto for Four Violins, featuring Little and fellow soloists Monique Ziegelaar, Jacob Antonio, Liana Bonaccorso (violins) and Karella Mitchell (cello).
The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are $10 for children, $30 (concession) and $35 for adults. Book at www.steelcitystrings.com.au or buy at the door.
