About 9.10am the 51-year-old woman was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle and attempted to make a right hand turn from Lake Conjola Entrance Road onto the Princes Highway.
A Mazda 6 sedan, being driven by a 39-year-old woman in a southerly direction towing a trailer, collided with the motorcycle at the intersection.
As a result of the collision the motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and suffered fractured legs, suspected spinal and internal injuries.
The rider was stabilised by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious, but stable condition.
Police investigations into the collision are continuing.
