A star military band that has featured in The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, the show will feature 25 musicians, dancers and singers in full ceremonial uniform.
Continuing the celebrations of Her Majesty The Queen's 90th Birthday, the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards will perform a series of special concerts.
The Guards are notably the highest profile of the British Military concert bands and are world famous - achieving a Classical Brit Award in 2008 for best album, Spirit Of The Glen: Journey, partly recorded while on operations in Iraq in 2008.
Not surprisingly, they have achieved some major success in the music industry.
They topped the charts for five weeks with Amazing Grace, which sold over seven million copies worldwide.
This was followed by major hits such as The Last Of The Mohicans, Highland Cathedral, Dances With Wolves, The Braveheart Trilogy and Going Home as recorded with Mark Knopfler.
Every year they are featured in the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, which is televised worldwide to 45 million people and they are constantly in demand for international competitions, concerts and parades.
They have also won the world championships in Grade 2 in 1982 under Pipe Major John Allan.
The following year the band was upgraded to Grade 1 where it stayed for nearly 10 years followed by many world championships over the years.
A particularly successful year was 1987 under Pipe Major John Bruce.
The then Commanding Officer, Lt Col Melville Jameson, allowed the band to spend the complete summer in Scotland to compete. It was during this time that it gained 5th at the British Championships, 4th at the European Championships and 10th place at the World Championships.
The Pipes and Drums of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards promises to be a spectacular concert that will give audiences a whole new experience in classic pipe tunes along with some modern arrangements and a rare insight into the talent and stature of one of the greatest Scottish bands of all time.
The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards is a cavalry regiment of the British Army, and the senior Scottish regiment. The regiment, through the Royal Scots Greys, is the oldest surviving Cavalry Regiment of the line in the British Army.
