Proceeds from the Berry Quilting Exhibition go to the Children’s Medical Research Institute – Gerringong Committee.
The exhibition each year focuses on the tutors who are teaching at the Berry Quilting Retreat, which runs over the same weekend.
The tutors are hand-picked from Australia’s finest talents and include textile artists, quilters and artists.
Each tutor is asked to bring along a range of their work for exhibition.
Meredith Woolnough is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning artist from Newcastle.
Her work is held in public, private and corporate collections throughout the world.
Her embroidered traceries “capture the delicate beauty of nature in knotted embroidery threads”.
As well as Woolnough’s works, the exhibition this year will feature art and jewellery by Ro Bruhn, quilts by Jen Kingwell of Amitie Textiles, artist Neroli Henderson, art quilter and textile artist Ali George, artist Caroline Sharkey, textile artist Michelle Mischkulnig and author and quilt artist Gloria Loughman.
The exhibition will also feature a traders’ market.
