The quintet will perform a free show at Kiama Bowling Club on Saturday, July 30.
Drummer/vocalist Nick Guggisberg said the band performed a mixture of ‘70s rock and Australian rock, with some more modern songs also incorporated.
The line-up is completed by Geoff Marlan (lead guitar/vocals), Mark Bell (bass/vocals), Frank Testa (keyboards/brass/vocals/harmonica) and Anthony Rule (lead vocals).
The majority of members hail from Kiama, with the remainder from Shellharbour.
Guggisberg said the band’s moniker was derived from the original four members’ day jobs.
“Three of the guys were registered nurses and I have a social work degree,” he said.
Guggisberg said the band formed the best part of a decade ago, although Rule, 22, only came on board about 18 months ago.
“Anthony is a great singer and has done a lot of musical theatre.
“We’re all old farts – he’s a young bloke, but he fits us like a glove,” Guggisberg laughed.
Care Factor regularly play gigs throughout the Kiama region, and appeared at this year’s Kiama Show Ball.
They will also be appearing at the next Show Ball in November.
