“What happened?” I said.
“There’s a Pokemon outside the car" she replied.
At this point the only things outside the car were more cars. I could not see any Pokemon dead or alive out there.
It was then explained to me what the Pokemon Go App was all about.
It was 10 minutes of my life that would not be returned to me and at my age every 10 minutes is a blessing.
However, I forgot what I was told a short time later.
I was reminded again about the strange Pokemon happenings this morning at work. There had been strange things happening overnight.
People were being located in weird areas of the CBD and other areas around Nowra chasing Pokemons.
I am sure that on face value it is a harmless pastime, however there is some danger to it.
Please do not wander around alone at night chasing pokemons. Be aware of your surroundings and stay safe.
Remember when you are crossing the road looking at your phone that the Pokemon is not real but the car approaching at 50kph is.
Don’t go chasing Pokemons in your car while using the phone. Pokemons don’t bleed, you do.
Finally to anyone who has a warrant or is wanted by the police.
We have special Pokemons in the custody suite at the Nowra Police Station.
Just come on in and we will be happy to supply you with Pokemons that look like handcuffs and prison clothes and you can look for as many pokemons as you like in one of our cells.
