The Reserve Grade scored in the last three seconds to beat Bermagui-Cobargo 32-28, the Firsts scraped home 42-28 against a determined Eden Tigers team, while the League Tag girls continued their winning way defeating Eden 38-6.
After leading 26-4 at the break following tries to Karn Mikolic, Sterling Wynn and Rod Ceasar, then 32-4 with another Ceasar try straight after the break, the Devils seemed to put the cue in the rack.
Poor passes, a sin-bin, dropped balls and penalties allowed the Tigers to storm back with four converted tries to reduce the lead to 32-28. Luckily the Devils kicked again with a barnstorming 40-metre try to prop Tim Keegan and another to young gun Ninnum Parsons to scoot clear with a 42-28 win.
A win is a win but the team must tidy up their handling and reduce mistakes to handle the big boys in the semis! Best for the Devils was again Neil Graham who along with Todd Ayers played all 80 minutes of the game.
Tim Keegan and Brendan Harper, who kicked five conversions, also picked up points. Neil was the Players Player while Gus Wilton won the Tony Spagoni Commitment award.
Also well done to Ninnum Parsons, Stephen Brown and Joey Scrymgeour.
