The Liberal politician is hopeful her record of community service since will see the electorate back her in for another term at the July 2 federal election.

‘’It’s been an honour to be able to advocate and achieve on your behalf, and I hope you will back me for the next term.’’

Mrs Sudmalis, a former Kiama councillor and business owner, won the seat of Gilmore in 2013 after she was chosen by the Liberal party to run following the retirement of sitting member Joanna Gash.

Mrs Sudmalis listed keeping the Helicopter Aircrew Training School at HMAS Albatross as one of many of her highlights.

She said the Gilmore community also was the trigger for the National Ice Taskforce.

Mrs Sudmalis said this resulted in $2 million for further drug and alcohol rehabilitation services at Oolong House in Nowra, $2 million for a youth ice detox centre at Knights Hill just outside Jamberoo, more than $760,000 for Waminda’s Dead or Deadly program, and $5.16 million for counselling and rehabilitation services through the local public health network.

She said the government has also funded the mental health facility to be built at the Shoalhaven UOW campus., while $2 million has been invested for the Dunn Lewis Memorial Centre in Ulladulla.

Mrs Sudmalis promised to continue working for the people of Gilmore and community projects, and has already secured more than $35 million in election pledges.

These include $20 million for the NSW South Coast Jobs and Investment Package, $100,000 for Gilmore’s community groups to install solar power,  $85,000 for community safety initiatives in Kiama, Sanctuary Point and Batemans Bay, $500,000 to rebuild the facilities at the Jamberoo Pool and $1.25 million to redevelop the old School of Arts at Gerringong.

‘’We can work together with a Coalition Government to achieve all of these projects,’’ Mrs Sudmalis said.
