Applications are currently being considered for the 2016 Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) which will run from September 9-11, 2016 at Sydney Olympic Park Lodge.
RYPEN is for young people aged 14 to 16 years and caters for teenagers who have shown qualities of decency, courage, persistence, sincerity and application in everyday life, which deserve further development.
RYPEN uses the common bonds of learning, co-operation and friendship to design activities which facilitate trust and self-esteem.
RYPEN seeks to broaden each participant’s horizons culturally, socially and academically, providing the inner foundations for a strong future.
If you are interested in finding out more about the RYPEN, please call Kiama Rotary’s Youth Director at 0401 177 799 or visit the website at http://www.rotarydistrict9675.org.au/Page/rypen.
KIAMA LIONS
Our Monster Trivia night was a resounding success, the many prizes were amazing and the silent auction items were of a very desirable quality.
We have been able to raise a lot of money for our Cancer Care Fund and the Respite House project.
Our thanks go to our Quizmaster Bruce Elder who did an amazing job.
This week is the final week of the current President and his Board, by the time you read this there will be a new team inducted for 2016-17.
Last year’s team will look back with great satisfaction for all that has been achieved and a solid foundation has been laid to go on with.
Don’t forget our BBQ at the Hot Rod show on Sunday, September 11, at Black Beach.
