Kiama Rotary held its 64th Annual Changeover Dinner on Monday night where now Past President Marilyn Jarrett handed over leadership to incoming President David Chambers.
The 2015-16 year was outstanding for the club and congratulations go to Marilyn and her team for their great work, both locally and abroad. David shared his plans for the coming year and we look forward to another rewarding year of living up to Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self”.
KIAMA LIONS
Last week we had the annual combined meeting. Over 90 Lions attended from all the local clubs and it was great to chat to them and hear about all the great projects under way in the local communities. They also enjoyed hearing from Maddy Cook about her trip to Ecuador which was part sponsored by Kiama Lions.
Everything is under control for the monster Trivia night and we are hopeful of raising decent money for our two big charity projects. When we don't run our Race Day, the Trivia night becomes a major fundraiser. Our changeover dinner will be at the Pavilion on 23rd and the new Board have already met with the outgoing one.
