South Coast coach Rod Richards had one of the youngest senior rep teams in years but they responded in a 15.13 (103) to 10.9 (69) win.
Late withdrawals in the forward line proved no problem with Ulladulla forward Troy Cole bagging four goals to be one of South Coast’s best on the day,
Wollongong Lions’ Ben Hyndes and clubmate Dan Leary booted three goals each.
It was the second straight year South Coast had beaten Canberra in the annual rep fixture.
Wollongong Lions’ Ben Green was the outstanding player for South Coast, closely followed by Shellharbour’s Nathan Lomas, Troy Cole, vice-captain Josh Walton (Kiama) and skipper Rohan Watson (Lions).
Five Divi 1 teams, plus Div 2 Ulladulla contributed players to the squad.
